Arizona celebrated her 99th birthday on February 14, 2011. Celebrations were held statewide and the Capitol in Phoenix had events lasting throughout the early afternoon.
The Statehood Day Ceremony was held once again in the historic Senate Chambers at the State Capitol Museum (above) with the Trevor G. Browne Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps presenting the colors. In attendance (left to right) are the Speaker of the Arizona State House of Representatives Kirk Adams, State Librarian GladysAnn Wells and The Honorable Tim Bee from the Office of the Governor who are just about to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Countdown to Centennial was a free event held on the Arizona State Capitol Senate lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Included were an EXPO of more than 60 booths showcasing upcoming Centennial happenings and Legacy Projects. Dave Pratt (above left), legendary Arizona radio personality, was the emcee to a wide variety of entertainment.
