Arizona Dept. Of State to Launch Tik Tok Account in Expanded Voter Engagement Effort

PHOENIX – In an effort to engage voters in an everchanging media landscape, the Secretary of State will be launching an official Tik Tok Account: @azsecretary. In compliance with the Arizona Department of Administration social media policy, the Department of State is excited to extend our digital efforts to meet voters wherever they are. 

Secretary Fontes stated, “While I understand the hesitancy government agencies have had toward Tik Tok, it is of paramount importance that election officials use every available tool to communicate with voters, especially younger voters. As an independently elected statewide official, I have directed my office to utilize the platform ahead of the New Year. I am confident that all appropriate security measures are in place to ensure government data is protected. My office will continue requesting funds from the legislature to ensure robust voter information is disseminated through the 2026 election.”
