RETURN YOUR BALLOT TODAY: Today is the last day for voters to return their early ballot through USPS

PHOENIX – The Arizona Secretary of State's office wants to remind Arizona voters that the deadline to return their early ballot through USPS is today, Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Arizona is an in-hand state, not a postmark state. This means that ballots must be in the possession of an election official in the voter's county by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, not just postmarked by then.  

To ensure that their ballot is received in time to count in the November 3 General Election, Arizona voters are encouraged to mail back their ballot no later than October 27, 2026. After today, voters should drop off their ballots at their polling location/voter center or an official drop box—or vote in person.

Arizonans are also encouraged to track the location of their ballot in real-time by signing up for BallotTrax at Arizona.Vote.

Other key dates for the General Election are: 

  • Last day to vote early in person: October 30, 2026
  • Emergency voting begins: October 30, 2026, at 7:00 pm 
  • General Election: November 3, 2026 
  • Ballot curing deadline: November 8, 2026 
  • Official statewide canvass: November 23, 2026
