Arizona’s Text2Cure System Helps Voters Ensure Their Ballots Count!
PHOENIX – Arizona’s Text2Cure system allows voters to use mobile phones to securely submit the missing information needed to fix, or "cure,” early ballot signature problems and complete the voting process.
Early ballots must be returned in a signed, sealed election affidavit envelope, and sometimes things don’t go as planned.
“It happens all the time,” Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes said. “As we get older, our signature changes and maybe the signature doesn’t exactly match the signature on record anymore. Or perhaps someone has an injury or illness that affects their signature. Those folks still have time to make sure their vote counts!”
For the Special Primary Election for Congressional District 7, the deadline to correct the issue is Sunday, July 20 at 5 p.m. Fontes added that county election officials will reach out to early voters who need to verify their signatures.
“If you get a message from the county that your signature verification needs to be validated, you can use the Text2Cure system to securely get that information to the county and make sure your vote counts,” Fontes said.
There are two ways to access the system:
1. Text ARIZONA to 2VOTE (28683)
Voters will receive a secure link to the Text2Cure website.
(Standard text rates may apply, and your information will not be shared or sold.)
2. Contact your County Recorder’s Office
You can also call, email, or visit your County Recorder to start the curing process in person. Find your County Recorder
