Acclaimed Arizona Author Lisa Schnebly Heidinger Embarks on Statewide Tour Celebrating “Arizona Friend Trips” – Arizona’s 2025 Great Reads from Great Places Selection
PHOENIX – The Arizona Center for the Book, a program of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, is proud to announce a statewide library tour with Arizona author Lisa Schnebly Heidinger, co-author of Arizona Friend Trips: Stories from the Road. The book was selected by the Library Development team led by the State Librarian to represent Arizona in the Library of Congress Center for the Book’s 2025 Great Reads from Great Places program—an annual celebration of outstanding books that reflect each state's unique culture and spirit.
In Arizona Friend Trips, Lisa Schnebly Heidinger and Julie Morrison invite readers to explore the state’s most cherished places through a blend of poetry, and prose. From the iconic landmarks to hidden gems, each chapter of this captivating travelogue provides a rich tapestry of historical insight, personal anecdotes, and emotional reflections, painting a vivid portrait of Arizona’s diverse landscapes and vibrant culture.
“Lisa Schnebly Heidinger has a unique gift for connecting people to Arizona’s rich landscapes and stories,” said a representative from the Arizona Center for the Book. “Her presentations are more than author talks—they’re a journey through the state’s heart and history.
