The term for this seat is scheduled to begin on February 1, 2006, and expire on January 31, 2011. “It is my sincere hope that we can find a qualified and responsible candidate who will work hard and provide loyal service on behalf of the citizens of Arizona,” stated Secretary Brewer, “I am very interested in candidates who can bring fairness and consistency to this process.” The candidates for Commissioner must meet the following criteria per Arizona Revised Statute:
Qualified individuals who are interested in being appointed to serve on the Commission can get the appropriate forms and application materials directly from the Secretary of State’s office by calling (602) 542-0681, or by e-mail at www.azsos.gov. Applications should be postmarked by December 31, 2005, or hand delivered to the Secretary of State office at the following address by December 30, 2005, by 2:00 pm.
