Secretary of State’s Office determines the order Democratic candidates will appear on the Presidential Preference Election ballot

PHOENIX – The Secretary of State’s Office has determined the order the qualified Democratic candidates will appear on the Presidential Preference Election ballot.
The ballot order drawing event was conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 11 pursuant to A.R.S. §16-245(B), which states that the order of the names of certified candidates on the ballot shall be determined by lots drawn at a public meeting called by the secretary of state.

The only political party participating in the 2020 PPE is the Democratic Party, therefore only candidates from the Democratic Party will appear on the PPE ballot. In addition, only voters registered with the Democratic Party by the voter registration deadline of Feb. 18, 2020 will be eligible to vote in the 2020 PPE.
