Early voting options still available for the Presidential Preference Election

PHOENIX – Arizona voters who wish to avoid the Election Day crowds still have options for voting early in the 2020 Presidential Preference Election.
“As we approach Election Day, it’s important for voters to know what options they have and make a plan,” Secretary Katie Hobbs said. “If they have any questions, they are encouraged to call their election officials – their trusted sources of information.”
Early ballots can be returned to an authorized ballot drop-off location or voting location on or before Election Day. In-person early voting is available through March 13, 2020, and voters can contact their county election officials to learn about options for emergency voting and special election boards.
State law requires that early ballots must be received, not postmarked, by the voter’s county election officials by 7 p.m. on Election Day, which is March 17.
“Our priority is ensuring voters can cast their ballots in a way that is safe and meaningful to them,” Hobbs said.
The 2020 Presidential Preference Election is on March 17 and only the Democratic Party is participating. Voters registered as Democrats on or before Feb. 18, 2020 are eligible to cast their ballot in this election.
