July 24 is the last day to request a ballot-by-mail for the 2020 Primary Election

PHOENIX – The deadline to request a ballot-by-mail for the 2020 Primary Election is Friday, July 24, 2020 at 5 p.m.
Voters can either sign up for the Permanent Early Voting List or make a one-time request for a ballot-by-mail at azsos.gov/votebymail. Voters who make a one-time ballot request will not be added to PEVL.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended early voting and voting by mail when possible,” Secretary of State Katie Hobbs said. “Voting by mail allows voters to fill out their ballot from the comfort of their home. It is safe, secure and accurate.”
Voters registered as Independent will need to contact their county recorder to select a ballot type, even if they are on the Permanent Early Voting List. A list of county election officials contact information is available here: County Election Info.
Ballots must be received by county election officials by 7 p.m. on Election Day. The last recommended day to mail a ballot back is July 29. Voters who do not mail back their ballot by that date should drop off their ballot to a designated drop-off location or voting location in their county by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
More information is available at Arizona.Vote.
Election Day is Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
