PHOENIX – Arizona’s Presidential Electors will meet on Monday, Dec.14 at 10 a.m. to cast their ballots for President and Vice President.
WHAT: Electors will sign the official Certificate of Vote for President and Vice President, which will be immediately sent to the President of the U.S. Senate. Additional copies will go to the National Archives and Records Administration, as well as the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office will also maintain copies.
WHAT: Meeting of the Presidential Electors to cast ballots for President and Vice President. By law, electors in Arizona are bound to vote for the presidential candidate that received the most votes in the General Election.
WHO: Each recognized political party nominated a slate of presidential electors earlier this year. The Democratic Party’s presidential candidate received the most votes in the 2020 General Election, so the Democratic Party’s Presidential Electors will participate in the Electoral College. Arizona’s 2020 Presidential Electors are:
