Implementation of the Professional Employer Organization (“PEO”) registration will be delayed until June 30, 2023, pursuant to Laws 2013, First Special Session, Chapter 2.
In May 2005, the Arizona legislature passed legislation mandating the registration of all PEOs doing business in the state. Arizona Revised Statute § 23-561 et. seq addresses the various duties and responsibilities of a PEO regarding registration and business practices. However, because of the delayed activation, all affected applicants must wait until this registration is reconsidered in 2023.
