Arizona Memory Project Staff to Present

Oral Histories in the Arizona Memory Project

AMPlify Your Research Sessions are presentations by Arizona Memory Project staff designed to help you use the Arizona Memory Project in your research. There will be one presentation every month from June to October, 2024, each with a specific focus.

The October presentation is Topics and Places in the Arizona Memory Project.

Arizona history is full of significant events and places that shaped the state to be what it is today. The Arizona Memory Project has over 130 Topics and 1,200 Places where relevant content is linked. Topics include Mining, Canals, and Arizona’s 5 C’s. Places include the Grand Canyon, ghost towns, and hotels. This session will explore how to research specific topics and places related to Arizona history, and show how topics and places are connected to each other.

The session is at 11:00-11:30 a.m. MST, Wednesday, October 30, and will be held virtually on Zoom.

Attendees are encouraged to register at https://azsos.libcal.com/calendar/starl

to receive the link to the presentation. During the session, there will be time for Q&A.

Recordings and slides of the presentation will be available on the Arizona Memory Project at: https://azmemory.azlibrary.gov/nodes/view/266664
