Throughout the 2024 General Election, Representative Tsosie took steps to eliminate voting obstacles for Apache County. He worked hand-in-hand with local officials and community leaders to communicate that polling locations would remain open longer, addressed accessibility concerns for voters in line, and facilitated ballot access for those in underserved areas. His decisive leadership was crucial in overcoming logistical challenges and preventing voter disenfranchisement in one of Arizona’s most diverse counties.

Representative Tsosie has consistently championed legislative efforts and initiatives that expand voting access for historically underrepresented groups. In addition, Representative Tsosie’s discussions culminated in a strong push for accountability and immediate improvements before the next election cycle at the Arizona Legislature.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office extends its warmest congratulations to Representative Myron Tsosie on receiving the NASS Medallion Award. This recognition serves as a token to his enduring commitment to fairness in our democratic process.

The NASS Medallion Award was established to honor individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in the areas of elections, voter participation, civic education, and service to state government. Recipients exemplify the mission of NASS, promoting the values of integrity, accessibility, and trust that are essential to the strength of our democratic institutions.
