Arizona Secretary of State Reminds Voters the Last Day to Register to Vote for the 2020 General Election is October 5

Monday, October 5, 2020

PHOENIX – As the 2020 General Election approaches, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs reminds those who plan on voting that they need to be registered no later than Monday, October 5.

Arizonans can register online by 11:59 p.m. or by filling out and returning a paper form, which must be received by the county recorder or postmarked October 5. Arizonans can access both registration options on Arizona.Vote.

For Arizonans who are already registered to vote, the voter registration cut off is a good time to double check registration information to make sure it is current. This is especially true for voters who may have moved or want to change party affiliation.

“Arizona voters will make their voices heard, but only if they are registered,” said Hobbs. “Once your voter registration is current, you should start making your voting plan. Arizona has many options for participating including voting early by mail or in person, using a secure drop box, or voting on Election Day. But please remember, you must be registered to vote by October 5 to qualify for the 2020 General Election.”

Currently, there are more than 4 million registered voters in Arizona. Early voting is from October 7 through October 30, with emergency voting options available in some areas. Election Day is November 3. More information is available online at Arizona.Vote or by calling 1-877-THE-VOTE.
