Open Meeting Disclosures

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, all open meeting disclosures for Secretary of State Boards, Commissions, and Committees may be found at the following links. The notices include details regarding where each specific entitys agendas will be physically and virtually posted.

Meetings

A person elected or appointed to a public body is required by statute to review the open meeting law materials at least one day before taking office. You may review the open meeting law on the Arizona State Legislature’s website at A.R.S. Title 38, Chapter 3, Article 3.1. More information about Arizona’s open meeting law can be found in Chapter 7 of the Arizona Agency Handbook published by the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Copying and mailing fees may be associated with your request. All fees for public information records must be paid by check or money order made payable to SECRETARY OF STATE before being released to you. The office accepts cash for in-person orders only. One may also use one of the following links to generate a Public Records Request:

Our office offers inspection of public records with reproduction of documents available at $0.10 per page. Records or parts of some records may not be subject to public dissemination under Arizona law. Our office will notify you if the releasing of the record is restricted under law or if parts of the record requested will be redacted. If a document is available for public dissemination our office will contact you about the copying fee associated with your request.

Some publications have a commercial use fee. Check with the office if you intend on using a publication for a commercial purpose. A "commercial purpose" is the use of all or part of a public record for the purpose of sale or resale; including but not limited to photographs or mailing lists, to earn money. "Commercial purpose" does not mean the use of a public record as evidence or as research for evidence in an action in a judicial or quasi-judicial body of this state or a political subdivision of this state.

If your agency files a report with our office, please include on agency letterhead the Arizona Revised Statute citation that states the report is to be filed with our office as well as contact information the public may call with questions.
