PHOENIX – Under Arizona law (A.R.S. § 16-222), if a vacancy occurs in Arizona's representation within the U.S. House of Representatives, the Governor must announce dates for a special primary and special general election within 72 hours of the vacancy.

PHOENIX – The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, announced $75,500 in state grants for two library construction and renovation projects. The awards were made possible by the Arizona State Legislature through the State Grants-in-Aid program.
