The Secretary of State's Office is responsible for several different services within state government; some of our most important influence the quality of life for Arizona's citizens. One of these services is the Address Confidentiality Program which allows victims of domestic violence, sexual offenses or stalking to keep their residential addresses confidential by giving them a substitute address. Another, is the Advance Directives program which allows people to electronically store a copy of their health care wishes so it will be available where and when it is needed.
In addition to these programs, our office provides certification, sometimes called an "apostille" or a certificate of "authentication," for documents used to travel overseas or for use in a foreign country. The Secretary of State also makes available the bills passes into law by the state legislature and the governor, as well as other legislative actions.
It is a pleasure for our office to be able to provide these, and many other, services to Arizonans.
